Hello, everyone. If we had any doubt about who’s in charge ~ 책임이 있는. It’s nature. And we’re getting graphic 생생한 reminders 생각나게 하는 tonight of its power and fury 격분 all over the country. Fires, floods and the aftermath 결과, 여파 of a deadly tornado. We begin tonight in the south where hundreds of fires are burning in Florida and Georgia. More than 200 square miles of land has been scorched ~ 초토화하다. Hundreds of homes evacuated 대피시키다, 피난하다. And to all that, tonight, add a storm. We have extensive coverage beginning with Bianca Solorzano.

 

Tropical storm, Andrea, came pounding ashore today, introducing itself to the residents of Florida and Georgia as the earliest named storm ever. Three weeks before hurricane season even begins.

 

But Andrea is not the southeast’s biggest problem. Wild fires are. And the storm’s heavy rainfall and strong winds are beginning to affect the more than 200 wild fires burning in Florida, engulfing almost 80 square miles. In neighboring Georgia, an additional 100 square miles are on fire. Hundreds of homes have been evacuated in both states. Still, the governor’s not taking any chances 위험을 무릅쓰다, bringing in fire fighters from around the state. 300 National Guard will begin specialized fire fighting training tomorrow.
